Add an email account in Outlook 2011 for Mac

. Step 1 .

Please search for the program Outlook 2011 on your computer and double click it to open it. You can find it by clicking on the icon that is found at the bottom of the screen. Once you click on it the following window will show up:

In this Window you must select Applications> Microsoft Office 2011>Microsoft Outlook. Once you double click the Microsoft Outlook icon the program should open.

You can keep the icon of the program Outlook 2011 for quick access at the bottom section of your screen permanently. Once the program is open, you have to press right click on the Outlook 2011 icon, that appears at the bottom section of your screen, and the selecting Options>Keep in dock:

. Step 2 .

If it’s the first time you open the program Outlook 2011 the following section must appear( if it’s not the first time you open it please jump to step 4):

In this screen you must click the button and the section Accounts will appear

 
. Step 3 .

Please click the icon E-mail Account:

Once you click the icon the section Enter your account information should appear. Please jump to step 5.

 
. Step 4 .

If it’s not the first time you open the program Outlook 2011 and you wish to open and account for the first time or another account, then you select on the top menu Tools>Accounts… and the section Enter your account information should appear.

. Step 5 .

In the section Enter your account information the following information is required:

E-mail address: You must type the full e-mail address that was provided to you.
Password: your account password
User Name: “youraccount@yourdomain.com”.
Type: You must select “POP3”
Incoming server: you must type “mail.yourdomain.com" that was provided to you.
Outgoing server: you must type “mail.yourdomain.com". Additionally you must select the option Override default port and the you have to replace de number that appears on the textbox by default for the following “587”.

Once all of the fields are filled in, click on the button.

 
.   Make sure that your computer is connected to the Internet
 
.   Your domain is the section that comes after the “@” on you email address. For example, if your email address is “example@hotmail.com”, then you domain is hotmail.com
 
. Step 6 .

The following window will appear again once you clicked on the button. This windows is just so you can see the information that you setup on your account, you can modify here any mistake you made:

If you don’t find any mistakes you can close this section by clicking on the red button that is at the top left part of the window.

 
. Step 7 .

Congratulations! You have successfully added an email account on Outlook 2011 for Mac. If you wish to add another account go back to step 4 and follow the steps.
